We joined some of our HOME friends to the Bass Museum of Art in Miami Beach. (This field trip actually happened on late March). I had been meaning to go to this museum for a while, especially since they offer family days or afternoons, where you and your children get to create precious works of art in a family friendly setting. We didn’t get to do the family art work, but we got to do a number of other fun things including a very nice tour around the museum, a mini scavenger hunt in the Ancient Egyptian exhibit along with a short dress-up and play session, and some leaf-rubbing fun in the gorgeous outdoors!
Many thanks to Michelle Portilla for coordinating the field trips at HOME. I don’t think we can ever have too many! And, Super Hero and I, appreciated the perfect timing with all the Ancient Egyptian artifacts and games. Talk about a fun way to learn. Oh, that’s why we so love homeschooling!
